Every request for Cannabis and Health Data Repository data is reviewed by the Data Coordination Center (DCC) before access is granted. This guide explains what that review checks and why.
What DCC verification is
DCC verification is a human review of your account and your data request. It confirms your identity, that your institution is recognized, and that your requested use is covered by an approved Data Use Agreement.
What the DCC checks
- Your identity and institutional affiliation.
- That a signed Data Use Agreement is on file for the datasets you requested.
- That the datasets are approved for your stated research use.
What happens, step by step
- You submit a data request from the portal.
- The DCC reviews your account and the request.
- You are notified, and approved datasets appear in your Downloads.
How long it takes
Most reviews finish within a few business days. Complex requests may take longer.
